We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead and develop our accounting operations across both e-commerce and manufacturing divisions. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing all core accounting processes — including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, vendor and payment management, invoice approval, and fraud prevention. The role requires IFRS or U.S. GAAP expertise, an international accounting background, and the ability to design and implement scalable financial operations and policies.

Bits of your job:

  • Oversee all accounting operations across two entities: e-commerce and manufacturing.

  • Design and implement robust processes for AR, AP, payment management, vendor management, invoice approval, and scam/fraud prevention.

  • Develop accounting policies and internal control procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing, financial statements accuracy, and internal/external audits.

  • Evaluate, propose, and implement accounting systems, tools, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead, train, and support the accounting team to ensure alignment and effectiveness across processes and platforms.

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and management to ensure timely and consistent financial reporting.

  • Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations.

  • Act as a key point of contact for banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.

Job requirements

Key expectations:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • 8+ years of accounting leadership experience, ideally across both e-commerce and manufacturing sectors.

  • Proven experience with IFRS or U.S. GAAP accounting standards.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting operations including AR/AP, payments, vendor management, invoice approvals and audit procedures.

  • Experience creating and implementing accounting policies, controls, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated history of preventing and managing financial fraud or vendor-related scams.

  • Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to mentor and guide accounting teams.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
