Bits of your job:

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts for all financial transactions on a monthly basis

• Book journal entries monthly in accordance with GAAP

• Lead the proper execution of all month-end close checklists and deadlines

• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded according to the Chart of Accounts classification

• Keep up with coding classifications, bank reconciliations, and month-end entries

• Maintain an up-to-date month-end closing checklist

• Create automation coding rules in QuickBooks to streamline processes

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports

• Achieve all monthly reporting deadlines

• Manage sales tax compliance and registrations

• Set up and monitor TaxJar auto-enrollments for sales tax

• Ensure all sales tax filing deadlines and other miscellaneous business tax requirements are met

• Support various ad hoc analysis projects as needed

• Quickly learn and become a team expert in QuickBooks

• Assist with accounting projects such as 1099 tax filings, inventory management, balance sheet reconciliations, and quarterly/year-end accounting tasks

• Work independently while following department procedures and guidelines

Occasional Responsibilities:

• Help set up new brands and accounts, particularly in relation to new structures and LLCs planned for the year

• Support the transition to IES, accrual accounting, and intercompany invoicing

• And other tasks as assigned

Key expectations:

• Higher education in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree required)

• At least 5 years of experience in general accounting, including financial reporting, tax handling, month-end close procedures, and account reconciliations

• Proven experience with journal entries and monthly financial reporting

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong analytical thinking and a solution-oriented approach

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large volumes of data and complex formulas

• Familiarity with accounting and document organization processes

• Experience working with accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus)

Salary:

1500-2200 €/mon. NET
